cars & trains Top..stuff of 2009

  • Okay, so I know 2009 is as in style as velcro shoes at this point, but being the odd man out I figured I should probably write something up for this here "Tops of 2009" series before it's 2011.

These are videos/posts of songs off of a handful of some of my favorite albums of 2009. I unfortunately have a tendency for dwelling in the musical past so I am usually pretty behind the curve on this stuff.

In no particular order, here we go:

    Astronautalis - Pomegranate

    Sin Fang Bous - Clangour

    Myka 9 - 1969

    Mos Def - The Ecstatic

    Bibio - Vignetting the Compost

Broadcast and the Focus Group - Broadcast & The Focus Group Investigate Witch Cults of the Radio Age

it's referred to as a "mini album" apparently... most of the songs are under 2 minutes... some are like 30... even though there are maybe 17 tracks it's pretty short.—cars & trains, rated it a 5

and just to clarify astronautalis' record came out in 2008, but it did not get to me until early 2009. so i'm counting it. i don't care. that's punk rock.—cars & trains

punk as shit, mofug.—Hiram Lucke, rated it a 5
