Waterloo Waterloo Saskatoon, SK, Canada is quickly becoming a hub for independent hip hop in the great white north. Through his consistently strong output, collaborations with producer Factor and energetic live performances, Kay The Aquanaut has become one of Canada's hip hop acts to watch. On his debut Circle Into Square release "Waterloo" Kay lays down anthemic political raps with so much heart that the politics almost feel secondary to raw emotion. Longtime collaborator Factor and upcoming French beat maker Zoen provide hard hitting yet melodic backdrops for Kay's powerful critiques of modern society. Guest vocalists from Kay's Sideroad family such as Def3, Cam The Wizzard, and Nolto as well as Fake Four's Sole and Ceschi join in seamlessly. Somebody said there are ten thousand lakes there; if that’s true, each of them shows up in some little way in Annie’s songs.
